How Can I Make My Hair Grow?

To make your hair grow faster, you’ll want to focus on nourishing your scalp, protecting your strands, and optimizing your overall health. Here’s a blend of science-backed tips and salon-level advice:

Scalp Health is Key

  • Massage your scalp daily to stimulate blood flow.
  • Use a scalp scrub or detox treatment weekly to remove buildup.
  • Try essential oils like rosemary, peppermint, or tea tree (we love Paul Mitchell brand) — they’ve been shown to encourage growth when diluted properly and used consistently.

Feed Your Follicles

  • Eat a protein-rich diet — hair is made of keratin, a protein (97%).
  • Load up on biotin, zinc, vitamin D, omega-3s, and iron — all crucial for healthy hair.
  • Stay hydrated! Water supports healthy cell growth, including your hair.

Treat Your Hair with T

  • Trim regularly to prevent split ends from traveling up. I can’t encourage this enough!
  • Minimize heat tools or always use a heat protectant. Our favorite is Protect Me by Sexy hair.
  • Avoid tight hairstyles that tug on your scalp (they can cause breakage or even hair loss).
  • Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction.

Use Growth-Boosting Products

  • Look for products with niacinamide, caffeine, peptides, castor oil, or minoxidil (Rogaine).
  • Consider professional in-salon scalp treatments.

Reduce Stress

  • High stress = high cortisol = hair stuck in the resting phase.
  • Try meditation, movement, or anything that helps you unwind.
